Forget Ultimate Big Brother –it’s the Top 10 Ultimate Celebrity Tradesmen – Part 1!

It’s the Ultimate Big Brother final tomorrow night, marking the very end of the reality TV show. Love it or hate it – Big Brother has revolutionised the world of TV. With that in mind, which tradesmen (or women) would deserve to go in an ultimate house? Any builders, plumbers, electricians, gas engineers, even video game characters are eligible, they just have to be well-known and famous for what they do. So here are the first 5 tradesmen, the others will be named tomorrow on the blog.

10. Craig Phillips

Let’s start with a former Big Brother winner. The builder won the first series of the reality show and went on to appear in numerous BBC shows as a DIY expert as well as working on ITV’s renovation show 60 Minute Makeover. Craig has used his profile as a top tradesman to raise money for various charities over the years, including Downs Syndrome Association and Macmillan Cancer Trust. Craig also returned to the Big Brother house this year in a shed building task, where he built a shed quicker than ten of the housemates combined.

9. George Clarke

The property designer, architect and TV presenter is most famous for fronting property shows such as Channel 4’s The Home Show and Restoration Man. An expert on DIY and how to renovate your home, George specialises in converting old buildings into new homes, as seen on Restoration Man.

8. Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team

Knowles is best known for fronting home renovation show DIY SOS on the BBC, which has been broadcast since 1999. Knowles was named Halifax’s “Britain Home Idol” in 2007 as the most popular TV home improvement presenter, with 7.2 million votes and beating out the likes of Sarah Beeny and Kevin McCloud. Nick and his team of plumbers, electricians and plasterers are experts at renovating properties and have been doing it for over eleven years now on TV.

7. Sarah Beeny

The property developer and the only woman on this list, Beeny is best known for fronting Property Ladder on Channel 4. This has led to numerous property-themed spin offs, including Help! My House is falling down , which began on Channel 4 last month.

6. Luigi

One half of probably the most famous plumbers ever, Luigi is the younger, lankier version of his brother – the one and only Mario and a star of the Mario series. Luigi is a plumber, but is a lot more timid and nervous than his famous sibling. Luigi makes the list as the whole Mario franchise has sold 210 million units, making Luigi a worldwide star in the process.
