Plumber saves the day after ex-NFL star’s wife flushes $10k wedding ring down toilet

Train4TradeSkills NewsAfter the endless sub-zero temperatures and the freezing pipes of this winter, you would be forgiven to think that plumbing is not a glamorous job, to say the least. But a plumber from Pennsylvania has grabbed the headlines for rescuing a NFL WAG’s $10,000 wedding ring.

The Daily Mail reports that plumber Steve Cirigliano, who works for Mister Root Plumbing in Pennsylvania, saved the day after the wife of ex-American Football star Todd Kalis accidentally flushed her diamond ring down the toilet.

Kristen Kalis reportedly went into her bathroom half-asleep, took her ring off and it then miraculously “disappeared” (which means she flushed it down the toilet). Numerous plumbing companies refused to do the job (you don’t hear that much nowadays, seeing as there is something called a recession on), until Mr Cirigliano swooped in and save the day.

Mrs Kalis is married to ex-offensive lineman Todd Kalis, who played for NFL teams Minnesota Vikings, the Cincinnati Bengals and 2011 Super Bowl runners-up Pittsburgh Steelers, in a 7-year American Football career which finished in 1995.

The good news about this story? Steve got a promotion at his plumbing company and Tony Kalis didn’t have to pay for his wife’s wedding ring to be saved, as Mister Root Plumbing waived the fee in favour of the free publicity.

If you one day hope to emulate Steve Cirigliano and follow in his footsteps and become a hero plumber, you can train to become a plumber with Train4TradeSkills. You never know, you may find yourself one day saving the likes of Coleen Rooney or Victoria Beckham if they drop their wedding rings down the sink or the toilet.
